Sneaky Santa

I did this piece as a Christmas Promo. The theme is "Holiday Lights". I didn't want to paint children caroling, nor did I want to paint the typical scene of a family/children in front of a light up Christmas tree or fireplace with dangling stockings. I was hesitant on most ideas until a friend (Thanks George) suggested a child turning on the lights on a Sneaky Santa! That idea immediately made me smile and feeling excited for the project. How can you not be smiling when painting the jolly fat Santa?

anyways Happy Holidays everyone!

Cool illustration! He's not really sneaking cookies though, right? I mean... aren't they specifically for him?

-Ben, i didn't say he was stealing cookies....i just called him sneaky. common, aren't santa always sneaky? coming into a stranger's home in the middle of the night? leaving random gifts for kids?
