the evil angels in annabell lee

Annabel lee by Edgar Allan Poe
i wanted to use fat baby angels at first to add to the irony of cupids being envious of love. but kazu said the poem mentioned "seraphs" not cupids..............oh well, here's the result :)

here's part of the poem:

I was a child and she was a child,
In this kingdom by the sea;
But we loved with a love that was more than love - I and my Annabel Lee;
With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me.
And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea,
A wind blew out of a cloud, chilling
My beautiful Annabel Lee;
So that her highborn kinsman came And bore her away from me,
To shut her up in a sepulcher
In this kingdom by the sea.
The angels, not half so happy in heaven, Went envying her and me Yes! that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea)
That the wind came out of the cloud by night, Chilling and killing my Annabel Lee.

I like the piece, but from my opinion with concordance with the poem, I'd say they don't look sinister or envious enough. Possibly a slight wicked grin? Why I asked evil was that was not the first impression I got from the piece. *shrug* It's just a thought.

i see your point, but i think if i make them too evil, they will not have the impression of angels. technically they are not emphasized as evil, the poem just said they are envious and took his lover away.
besides i don't want to take the attention away from the couple away from the background.

thanks for your suggestions!
