tutu

so finally......I tried out the Jessie Willcox Smith method. I first drew it out in charcoal and established all the values. Using charcoal pencil can be a bit difficult to get into any details but it did create a nice texture on the wall. Then I sprayed layers of workable fixative. I was a little worried at first because when I was trying it out before I used hair spray, and with that I cannot lift out any watercolor paint. But to my relief, workable fixative allows me to lift out some mistakes. I really enjoyed this method, I think I'll definitely do this again.

and by the way, how cute are they in tutus?

this is so cute, Isabella.. I really think your medium is watercolours. Hope to see more of this technique. I love how you contrast simple shapes with textured ones in here. Good job!
